CBN

A high strength brown CBN.  For greater wear resistance and controlled fracturing.  A more expensive grit in our CBN range, this grit offers wonderful productivity, long life and consistent grinding at a high level of accuracy.  Offering high removal rates, a lower temperature workpiece and extended tool life.

The MBN-A is an amber colored crystal with a blocky shape.  This shape, combined with its high thermal stability, makes it a highly versatile grit in wheel production using vitrified metal and above all, electroplated single-layer bonds.

Continued research at MANT has enabled us to offer a new angular CBN product.  This is a high strength, macrofracture product, ensuring constant sharp-cutting features.  The crystal morphology between tetrahedral and octahedral enhances bond retention.

This is a high strength CBN that is black in color.  Its blocky shaped characteristics make it the product of choice in electroplated tools.  This CBN offers long life performance and aggressive cutting rates.

This is a super tough CBN, excellent for hard-ended tools, a monocrystalline product that can be used extensively in all bonds, including electroplating tools.  It is particularly successful for grinding nickel and cobalt alloys.

This is a strong blocky tetrahedral or octahedral crystal, with well developed faces and sharp cutting edges for use in metal bonds and vitreous bonds, and for the grinding, sharpening and honing of high speed steels, superalloys, and cast irons over 45 HRC.

CBN

Mant Cubic Boron Nitride exhibits exceptional crystal strength with a very blocky particle shape and black color, making it suitable for electroplated and sintered tool applications.
