Mant USA Conventional Abrasive Suspensions are an easy to use polishing system offering several manufacturing advantages for precision world wide.
Mant USA Conventional Suspensions have been specially formulated to allow for versatility of application by automatic, manual or gravity fed systems. Our liquid carrier permits the diamond particles to remain totally suspended, thus avoiding agglomerates and sedimenting. This homogeneity allows the diamond to abrade evenly and consistently resulting in minimizing defects and maximizing yields.
Mant USA Conventional Abrasives Suspensions are made with two types of abrasives, Cerium Oxide and Aluminum Oxide(alumina). They also come in either Oil or Water soluble.
Cerium Oxide: Mant USA uses a 99.95% pure, white, cerium oxide powder. Mainly used in the optics industry to polish glass and lenses.
Sizes Available: 0.5 µm, 1 µm, 2 µm and 10 µm.
Aluminum Oxide: Mant USA uses a 99.99% pure Alumina powder.
Sizes Available: 0.05µ, 0.3µ, 0.5µ, 1µ, 3µ, 5µ
Oil Soluble(OS): This product is best suited for the controlled lapping carbide dies and many other polishing applications where finish is critical. This is the choice where water solubility will corrode the work-piece.
Water Soluble(WS): This product has been formulated for efficient lapping and polishing where fast removal rates with high surface finish is required. This is the choice where easy cleanup is required.
